About the hat:
A new field, furrowed, planted and now coming to fruition... these are the
colours therein.... browns, russets, spring greens, coppers... this hat is full
of details. Ridges and lacework run around the back perimeter and it is
embellished with three tassels.
This is a beautiful combination of hand dyed Silk/Viscose blend, a lovely green
Linen and a coppery Rayon. It is lightweight and warm. It is one of the few hats
that I make that is totally crochet and this particular hat can be worn by those
that can not tolerate wool.
The hat measures approx. 11" (27.9 cm) when laid flat (at the widest point and
approx. 8 1/4" (21 cm) from top to the point right above the ridges. For
reference, the mannequin head is 21" (53.3 cm). There is stretch due to its
construction and it can fit a variety of sizes. My head measures approx. 24"
with all of my hair and it fits wonderfully. Please measure your head and send
me your measurements if you have a question about whether this hat will fit you.
It is a stunning statement, but remember....it can cause "Specialness" and you
will always have to be ready for that!
